Pharmacy Experience

Shadowing

Current shadowing opportunities include the Retail, Hospital, and Nuclear fields. There are also currently opportunities at the UofU Hospital, LDS Hospital, and at a Nuclear Pharmacy. If you are interested in shadowing, contact Mike Hamilton at mhamilton@pdr-usa.net. Mike will be coordinating all of the club’s shadowing opportunities. We are also always looking for places to do shadowing.  If you know of an opportunity, please contact Mike Hamilton.

Volunteering

There are several students at SLCC who have contacted various hospitals to obtain volunteer positions.  Many of these require applicants to go in person and fill out applications at their volunteer offices.  The Thayne Center is an excellent place to start.  Some of the hospitals who have utilized volunteers in the pharmacies are Cottonwood Hospital and Jordan
Valley Hospital.
