Procedure
step 1: Use only 5 grams of the drug mixture and 125 mL Erlenmeyer flask.
Step 2:  Add 15 mL of water in three portions
Step 3:   Instead of boiling chips, place a glass stirring rod in the flask. Add 7-10 mL portions of water.
Step 4:  Do not perform.
Step 6:  not necessary to  use  an aspirator trap
At SCC it is necessary to use  water aspirators attached to the faucets in the troughs running  along the benches  or use  hand-held vaccum pumps provided by the instructor.
