three-dimensional molecular models

A number of web sites offer three dimensional models of molecules. These models can be viewed and examined in a variety of different ways after downloading and installing the Chime plug-in, which is available free of charge at the MDL web site (note: MDL also offers without charge ISIS software, which can be used to draw molecules). Current versions of Chime (2.6sp4) will work with Internet Explorer 5, 5.5, and 6, and with Netscape 4.79. The following sites offer 3-D molecular models:

• Atlas of Protein Side-Chain Interactions requires a plug-in called Rasmol; the site tells you where to get it and how to set it up
